DANIEL PETIT
It is Daniel's vision: produce quality work, excel in customer service and be a leader in the manufacture of fixtures, gauges, models, patterns, and moulds for the automotive, aerospace and plastic injection industry.
It all started in 1993 with the vision of a strong-willed man. Daniel was only 28 when he decided to start his own company. Hard work and determination resulted in Daniel Petit Model. In just 5 years the company grew from a one-man model-making shop in a shared space, without so much as CNC equipment, to a thriving enterprise with over 20 employees, making state-of-art fixtures, gauges and moulds and sales of over $5million.
The firm's beginnings were certainly humble, but quality speaks for itself. By 1995, with orders rolling in, Daniel hired his first employee and leased a 3000sq.ft. space on Cowansview Road, Cambridge. The decision to manufacture fixtures meant a major investment in computerized equipment: a top-of-the-line CAD/CAM system, a CNC milling machine and a computerized measuring machine, used to certify the accuracy of finished fixtures.
Next, Daniel's commitment to quality meant 2 years of dedicated work leading to ISO 9001:2000 Certification. The company is now working towards the QS 9000 program.
"We strive hard to achieve the highest industry quality standards to make us a lot better and to bring us to the next stage, so the competition is behind us, not at the same level."
Daniel Petit
